What’s the easiest way to get free website traffic?
I’m new to internet marketing and I’m trying to build a list. I don’t have to build it fast just steady but I don’t have much time to write articles an all that stuff. I’m also a little tight on cash, so to start I’m hoping to find some ways I can advertise for free to get going. I know I’m asking for a lot but are there a suggestions.
If your in the business for the long haul then you shoud be looking to create traffic hubs that drive traffic to your main site or money site. Having this steady flow from all directions will give you and your business longevity. Now this will create free website traffic but it will also require some work on your part.
When you say easy and free together not many things can provide the quality targeted traffic that any successful business needs but if you’re just starting a list and you want to get the ball rolling there is something that I use and love that fills both needs.

You’re in a bit of a quandary. You have no money and no time…usually you can trade one for the other. Without knowing what you have exactly, it’s difficult to give you a thorough answer. Off the top of my head, you might try looking for a Google AdWords coupon or Yahoo’s equivalent and see if you can drive some traffic to your site that way. Good luck!

One good way of getting traffic for free specifically for building a list is by using ad-swaps. You need to find people who have a similar list size to your own and offer to promote their product to your list in return for promoting your product to their list. You’ll gain a few of their subscribers and they’ll gain some of yours.
The internet marketing forums are a good place to find people looking for ad-swaps, places like digitalpoint forums and warriorforums.
Other ways would be commenting on blogs and posting on IM forums. Banner ads can also be cheaper than PPC if you have the budget for that and despite what people say, if you have the right call to action, you will get click-thrus.

There are several ways in which you could easily get traffic to your website. I have found that personally writing and submitting articles not only brings you traffic to your website, but also gives you a better ranking with the search engines. It does take time but if you don’t have the time or money you might want to consider link exchanges with websites with good rankings. You may also consider using viral means such as you-tube and twitter to drive traffic to your website. You don’t specify what market you are in which makes it difficult to steer you in the right direction, but here goes…
Writing and submitting articles is a quick, easy and cheap way to attract website traffic, and works in almost any market. If your web site is on a topic you are knowledgable about this should only take you 15 minutes or so to create a 450 – 500 word article. Bookmark your articles to attract even more traffic for very little additional work.
You can try forums and social networks but you will all likelihood find this more time consuming than writing articles.
