As an affiliate, you sign up with an advertiser or seller, promote his product and earn commissions when a user buys through your affiliate link.

Setting up your own affiliate website gives you a income where you can earn money and promote as many affiliate programs as you want.

The amount of money you earn depends on several factors, including the specific commission level for each product.

Research and pick a topic for your site. Find an area or subject in which you have an interest.

Go to online free research tools such as Yahoo Buzz or Google Trends and search for your topic to gauge its popularity.

Purchase the domain and website hosting.

Create your website. Install a content management system (CMS) program, like WordPress, Joomla or Drupal.

Join affiliate programs. Register as an affiliate of products via seller and advertiser marketplaces such as ClickBank, E-Junkie, PayDotCom and Commission Junction.

Write blogs and articles promoting the affiliate products. Read and digest the material from the products’ sales page to understand the features and benefits of the product.

Drive traffic to your affiliate website.

Take part in forum conversations related to your niche to promote your affiliate site through a forum signature or ppc.

Affiliate Marketing for the Complete Beginner

Have you been wanting to get involved in Internet Marketing

as an Affiliate but just didn’t know where to begin? Well

read on and I will take you by the hand and show you how to

get started. But first let me give you a little background

on what it means to be an Affiliate Marketer. Becoming an

Affiliate Marketer basically means you are a salesman for

other peoples products just like a salesperson in a store or

a Avon distributor, the only difference is you are not

meeting people face to face but are selling other peoples

products online.

So now that you know what an Affiliate Marketer is let me

tell you how to get started.

The first thing you want to do is sign up to be an

Affiliate. The most popular companies at this time are

Commission Junction and Clickbank. Now there are small

differences in the two companies, Commission Junction has

merchants that sell hard products where Clickbank is more

along the line of digital products, like E-Books and

Software. They both are totally Free to signup with.

So your first decision will be what type of product do you

want to try an promote. I would recommend starting off with

a product in a field that you are somewhat familiar with.

Now to get started on promoting a product you can go about

it 2 different ways. The first way I want to discuss is if

you have a no money to get started and want to go the free

route. Don’t fret because most of you will be in this

category.

No Money to get Started

After you have signed up with Commission Junction or

Clickbank or both for that matter, choose a product to

promote. Again I would choose something that I am familiar

with or have some type of interest in. If you are starting

out with Clickbank then usually there is no approval

process, you simply type your username in the space provided

and your affiliate link will be generated for you, for the

product you have decided to promote.

Now that you have your affiliate link, you can start

promoting it, and if someone clicks on it and buys the

product you make money. Different Merchants will offer you

different percentage commissions. Most common is 50-75%, so

if you send someone through your link to a site that sells a

product for $97.00 you are going to get 50-75% of that minus

the clickbank or commission junction fees which are not

much. Sounds easy enough? The concept is beyond easy,

promoting the products can be tricky. To make the process

easy I will cover some different ways to do that with no

money to start.

1. Write Reviews – Write a review of the product that you

are promoting and submit your review to Free article

directories. Have I lost you? It is best to write an honest

review, you want to build your character as being honest and

giving fair treatment, if the product is good then write

about what you liked about it, and if it was bad or had some

things or features you didn’t like then write that too.

People will catch on quick if you only write good things and

praise all of the products that you review and will figure

out your just trying to make a commission. Now you are

probably wondering how can you review a product that you

have never tried. Well now that you are a member of for

example Clickbank and you want to review a product that

costs $30.00. Buy that product using your affiliate link and

it will cost you $15.00 and then you can give a review of

it. Is this cheating? I don’t think so, because the merchant

is still receiving the same amount of money whether you sent

someone to his site through your affiliate link and

purchased it or if you purchased it yourself. If you have no

money at all to purchase a product to review, then try and

send an email to the merchant explaining that you are an

affiliate marketer and that you would like to request a Free

copy of their product to review, and that you plan on

generating a lot of business for him and provide a detailed

plan of how you are going to do just that. You will be

amazed at how many complimentary copies you will get. Once

you review the product and write an article about it, post

it at the Free article directories and include your

affiliate link in the article. Most of the article

directories will not allow you to put affiliate links in the

articles themselves, but will allow you to put it in your

author bio. Some article directories that do allow affiliate

links are Go Articles, Article Alley and Search Warp.

2. Become members at some of the marketing Forums and put

your affiliate links in your signature. Then every-time you

make a post in the forums, your short little add with your

affiliate link will appear beneath your name. You can also

put your affiliate link in your signature through whatever

email program you are using. Then every email you send out

will have your add and affiliate link in it.

If you have a little money to invest in your new Affiliate

Marketing business, I suggest you get your own website. Now

there will need to be some thought put in to this before you

take this step. Choose a product that you are very

interested in, because you are going to build a website

around that product. Find out the companies rules as an

affiliate, for instance some don’t allow their name in your

domain name, so do your homework. Then you will choose your

domain name, such as www.widgets.com. Domain names cost

about 10.00 a year for your own www. name. Then a hosting

company charges anywhere from $7.95 – $12.95 per month to

host the domain name and give you the space to put your site

on. If you know something about HTML then you will be able

to build your own site. There are also many software

packages out there that makes this an easy step such as

Microsoft Frontpage, or Adobe Dreamweaver. Once you get your

site up with your affiliate link all over it, start

promoting your site. Now you will not have to worry about

the article directories that do not allow affiliate links

because now you will send them to your website that has your

affiliate link, which most don’t mind.

So this is the beginner steps on how you can get started as

an Affiliate Marketer and start carving yourself out a

living on the Internet. Internet commerce is breaking new

records every year and continues to grow. Don’t miss out on

your piece of the pie. Get started as an affiliate and start

making that extra spending cash to help pay off some bills,

pay the rent or if your really good at it quit your job.

How do I get free traffic to my website easily?

I am promoting clickbank products, I have a subdomain here it is: www.thenetwave.webs.com. See if the site is good enough to promote and tell me how to get traffic to it. Thank you!

Hi there, well i checked out the site. It not a bad way to be a one stop shop for people interested in the niche products/education you will be offering. I think having just a list of affiliate links is not the best way of doing it.

watch this video and the come back here and read the rest:

http://video.yahoo.com/watch/1738351/5786458

For each product your promoting i would make it more of a review site. Giving your opinion and review of the product then offer the hidden/ masked affiliate link. then build a list and drive traffic.

what education are you doing? I would defiantly recommend getting involved in forum to start learning affiliate marketing ..

If you wanna make money online, you need to learn how to market online. Yull spend way more messing up, than paying for an education and having game plan.

Here is a link to a forum Im a member of.. I started from scratch about 6 months ago and have learned so much, i can ask questions, webinars, case studies, tools and all kinds of great stuff like how to get free traffic, paid traffic, tracking, PPV/PPC/SEO training and sooooo much more.

Internet Marketing the Secret

Have you ever been horrified and intimidated at the convoluted, jargon-reliant information about Internet marketing available on the Net?

Often it results in many companies becoming confused and therefore reluctant to put
into practice what would be a valuable and simple business resource when understood
and applied correctly.

Market Research consultant for Inteltab, Gordon Goodfellow, who is also an English
literature graduate, decided it was time for a change. Part of this desire to make
Internet marketing more accessible may be due to his past experience as a teacher.

"I was sick of all the gobbledegook that surrounds the Internet, even today," he
explains. "Marketing on the Net isn’t rocket science and should not be presented as such.

Everyone should have access to it. That’s the beauty of it."

Having spent four years researching and assessing the best way of getting an effective message across on the Internet, he began to design a basic introduction to Internet marketing. The result of this hard work is Applied Web Marketing. AWM is a comprehensive beginner’s guide to marketing on the Internet, covering everything from
domain names to e-commerce and merchant accounts, and written in plain English. This is designed for the small business user and the home business user who does not want to spend a fortune on outside "experts".

The key to most of Internet marketing is search engine optimisation. The key to good
search engine optimisation is keyword research. In other words, knowing which keywords or search terms people are using to find what they’re looking for on the Internet. If keyword research is done properly then there is no doubt that you will get highly targeted visitors to your website. This is obviously the professional way of going about things. It is the antithesis to the "spam" approach (unsolicited commercial emails) which achieves extremely poor results and simply annoys anyone unfortunate enough to be on the receiving end.

But which search engine should you optimise for? The search engine of choice at the
moment is Google. There are two good reasons for this. Firstly, Google is the most popular search engine on the Internet today. It is known for the quality and relevance of its search results, and so people trust it. Secondly, over the last couple of years Google has joined alliances with other search engines and directories. Yahoo, the world’s most popular directory, uses Google’s database, so if you have a first page listing on Google you are likely to have a first page listing on Yahoo as well.

AOL and Netscape also share Google’s search findings, so you’ll have similar search
results on the AOL and Netscape databases. Other lesser databases also rely on Google,
so that if you are well represented on Google, then you’ll be well represented on over sixty per cent of Internet search facilities.

You should also obtain a listing on the Open Directory Project (DMOZ.org) which is not much known about but very well respected in the search engine optimisation industry. The Open Directory does not use the normal search engine "spiders" or robot searchers; instead it uses over thirty thousand volunteer human editors who are ostensibly experts in their own fields. The theory behind this is that it ensures relevancy, accuracy and quality of all listings. A listing in DMOZ will therefore ensure a listing on Google and probably earn you an enhanced ranking there. Then all the others, like Yahoo, AOL, Netscape and the rest are bound to follow.

Optimisation is everything. The Applied Web Marketing website itself has the number
one position on Google out of 1.47 million search results for the search term "applied
web marketing".

After optimisation is the submission process. Perceived wisdom of the moment says it is best to submit manually. Manual submissions to dozens of search engines and
directories can be very time-consuming, however. There are some good automated and
semi-automated software packages available out there to do the submissions for you.
But for the major players do find the time for manual submissions. Some search
engines, for example Alta Vista, make it impossible for automated submission by
software programs, because of individualised text codes that must be entered by hand at the start of the submission process, so you have to submit to Alta Vista manually as well. But that just takes about three minutes.

Don’t bother with ads that say that they can "blast your web site to 500,000 search
engines". There aren’t that many search engines; there’s only a few hundred in total, and only about a dozen of any major importance. You’ll just pay your money and be very disappointed. Most of these so-called search engines are link farms, FFA or free-for-all sites, which nobody every looks at, and which are responsible chiefly for sending out spam. If you link to such web sites you risk being penalised by the bona fide search engines.

The next thing to have lots of is patience. A listing on Google should probably appear
within a couple of weeks if you have optimised your pages properly (incidentally, if you have multiple pages on your web site, as is mostly the case, it is important only to submit the index or home page, and let Google’s spider "Googlebot" to find and index the other pages itself using the links that you should have set up on your site.

The Applied Web Marketing guide has useful links to many resources, lots of them completely free, and to the submission pages of the major search engines and
directories, making it a perfect site to begin your journey into the world of Internet marketing.

Are You Making This Mistake When Writing Google Adword Ads?

It’s true that Google Adwords has been around for close to ten years, and in that time has become extremely successful and still preferred by millions of advertisers. There are many elements that determine success with PPC advertising, and one of the main determinants certainly is the ability to write effective ad copy. If you’re looking to improve your PPC performance, then hang-on because we have three great Adwords ad copywriting tips we feel can help you improve your ROI.

When you’re writing ad copy, you should know how to get to the point instead of beating around the bush. You also want to do that because you just do not have much room to play around in. First, a space is a character; but then it’s like 25 characters in the headline/title and 35 for the body – not much room! So make sure you cut down on all the unnecessary words and include only those points that make your advertisement more valuable. How much time will your fabulous ad copy have to convert someone? Oh… 3 seconds, maybe? So, ok, just accept that you have little time and write the best headlines and ads you can. Here’s something to try, and it’s great for only getting people who are more interested in your offer; just go ahead and use your price in your PPC ad – only people who are ok with it will click on it. Obviously price matters, no kidding, so it’s important to know that anyone who clicks on your ad with the price in it should be accepting of the price. Think about it like this; if a person knows they don’t want to spend on your price, then you will not waste any time on them by having them click on your ad.

The display URL is often ignored by some PPC advertisers, but that is a mistake because you can benefit from parts of it. If you take a look, you will see a lot of advertisers who are not doing this. You see, the thing about it is that the display URL will definitely have an impact on CTR’s. As an AdWords advertiser, you should know that you can put almost anything you want in your display URL, given that the destination URL matches with the domain. This is an old, but still effective, trick; and what you’ll do is make the file extension the keywords you want to use.

Don’t be afraid to experiment a little bit, and you can offer a glimpse into a personal story with your ads. If you can imply some kind of personal experience in an ad, then that is fine but remember you need to mention the product benefit, etc. If you use the story part, then be very sure there is some tie-in like they can realize similar results as you.

You’ll be best served if you continue your education about PPC and also Adwords advertising in particular, and always keep learning about writing good ad copy that converts. The ability to write effective advertising copy takes patience and practice just like many other skills, but it’s one of the most valuable skills you can learn.  If you are trying to find a top choice for enhanced internet marketing and advertising, check out WebRankingSEO.com – call (407) 876-5771 or visit for more info about local search optimization, SEO Orlando and SEO ranking.
