The New Ultimate Free Traffic Generator: Video Marketing – 6 and a Half Key Beginner Steps
If you were able to get a percentage of free traffic from 1 billion people to visit your site daily, would you do it now?
If there were 1 billion people visiting a mall daily, would it be a good idea to advertise your product/s there? What if these ads were free, how many ads would you put up?
According to Youtube, as of Oct 9th 2009, a shocking 1 Billion videos are watched daily on Youtube! Let me repeat that, 1 BILLION…DAILY! This makes Youtube the second most visited site in the world. Just Awesome!
In this article, I’m going to go through some simple steps on how to take advantage of this new, ultimate and free traffic generator called video marketing.
Let’s do it now.
Step 1: Content
You can find a topic to discuss in your video by doing some research on keywords the people in your niche are searching for in search engines. These are the problems your people are looking to get answers for. The keywords will be the main topic of discussion in your videos. Write a 400 – 700 words article that gives a solution to each of the problems the people in your niche are struggling with.
Tip: If you are already doing article marketing or blogging, you can simply use the same original articles as the one you created before. One article… three free traffic generation strategies. Nice.
Step 2: Equipment
Get your hands on a decent video camera, if you can get one that supports HD, even better. Video editing software can be gotten for free. If you have Windows installed in your PC, great, they have Windows movie maker. If you have a Mac, also great, they have iMovie HD preloaded.
Step 3: Audio
Next you will need decent audio. Using a camera’s built in microphone is fine, but not great. You will need to set it up so that you reduce echo at the place you are recording and ensure that your environment doesn’t disturb you with unwanted dogs barking in the background. If you want excellent sound, a little investment is needed for an external directional microphone (a.k.a. shotgun), or a lapel mic is good too.
Step 4: Action!
When recording, make sure you present yourself appropriately for your niche. Remember what your mom told you about first impressions. So look the part. Also, choose a background that is not distracting to the audience. Sitting at your desk or standing in front a wall is fine. If possible have something that represents your personal excellence portrayed in the back.
Try not to read off a piece of paper. This is your opportunity to connect with your people. So have it be conversational and full of energy. Starting out, have your video be no longer than 2 and a half minutes long because if its any longer, people do tend to get bored.
Step 5: Editing
Using your software to edit, be sure to create a brief intro and include your website address somewhere in the body of your video and also an extended shot of your website address (at least 6 seconds) at the end of your video.
Step 6: Posting Videos on Youtube
Go to Youtube and create your free account. Once done, you are able to now post a video for the world to see. Click the upload icon on the top right hand corner of your screen and follow the simple instructions. Remember, it is important to use titles and descriptions that are rich in the keywords that bring people to your site. Also, provide a link to your website in the description. This will give you some valuable backlinks to your site and also assist your viewers to get to your site easily.
Step 6.5: Video Marketing on Steroids
Think about it. If you can create just 2 videos a week for a year, you will end up with over one hundred videos a year. If one video can direct just one person a day on average to your website, that’s 36,500 free targeted traffic for you from Youtube.
Now, listen closely, what if you posted each video you created to 10 different sites similar to Youtube. You can potentially have 36,500 x 10 = 365,000 new and highly targeted prospects land on your website a year, for FREE. What if you can post it on 20, 30 or more sites! Now I think that’s Fantastic!
Results to Look Forward
Naturally, I have given you an overly simplified version of generating free traffic with videos, but it is enough to get you started. The most important part of using videos to generate free traffic to your site is consistency. People who watch your videos need to know that you can be trusted and you are in it for the long run.
Just let me tell you this, similar to article marketing and blogging, you will not see an instant rush of massive free traffic charging into your website immediately. However, what will happen is, just after a few short months of posting your videos, you will build considerable equity and trust with your viewers and position yourself as somewhat of an expert in your field.
In the long term, all your video posts will generate massive FREE traffic that never ends. Even if you stop creating videos after that, you will still continue to enjoy an awesome amount of FREE traffic from the few months’ of creating videos for many-many years to come. Work once, reap the benefits forever!

Introducing the Only Way I Know to Mlm Success
If you are hoping to have MLM (multi level marketing) success, you should get to know the basics of MLM first. MLM is basically just a marketing strategy. You can also take advantage of personal development affiliate programs like SkyQuestCom or Success University which can help you generate more income and is made from work that you haven’t done, or that pays long after the initial work was already done. It works like this; if you actively recruit other people that essentially sell for you, it is not that difficult to make money. The most common form of this form of network marketing is known as a pyramid, although there are a few others such as match bonuses or direct levels. In a pyramid, each person will be responsible to recruit say, six people, which would be considered your second level. These five are then expected to do the same which will bring the total to 25 people, which them creates your third level. If we keep using the same numbers as above in the recruitment process, 125 people will be on the next level, 625 will be on the next, and 2525 will be on the next. After seven levels are reached, you are usually moved on.
To break it down, you have to think in terms of companies like Avon, Amway, and Mary Kay. These companies have received the MLM success to the highest degree, and you can too! Aside from simply recruiting new members, Avon employs each recruiter as sales reps as well. Each sales rep gets paid a commission for every product they sell, and they receive bonuses for every new rep they bring in. You are wondering how will this bring you MLM success? It is simple; every sale your reps make gives you money from their sales; every rep they bring in brings you more money from their sales and so on.
Basically, you put in the work to bring in your initial sales reps, and after that, you can sit back and watch the money role in over and over again. Now you can use all of your free time to create newer and better businesses while the money keeps rolling. In offering commissions to your reps and bonuses for new recruits you can ensure that your wares will keep on selling and you don’t have to do anything. Its that easy. You can start by advertising in the newspaper and online and the rest is easy. Your MLM success is just around the corner!

How do I set up a website for participation in different affiliate programs?
I want to participate in a few different affiliate programs and I don’t know how to set up my web page for that. Please help. Thank you.
Start by signing up at the affiliate programs that you want to participate in. Once you sign up, you will be given instructions as to how to craft your links to their products and services so that the clicks are tracked for your account (and so that you’ll get credit for the referral).
Next, embed the links in your web pages. The fact that the links are tracked by different affiliate programs is irrelevant in terms of how you set up your web pages. What is relevant is that your visitors can find the information that they are looking for on your web pages, and then may click through to the products and services that they need (and that you are promoting through your affiliate programs).
Email me directly if you have additional questions, or would like feedback on your website.
Best of luck!
Robert
PS. You should consider promoting online gaming, an industry that is expected to grow from $14B to $24B by 2010. Read my article entitled "Seven Tips for Choosing an Online Gaming Affiliate Program" to get started: http://robertmedl.com/7OGAPtips.htm

Internet Marketing the Secret
Have you ever been horrified and intimidated at the convoluted, jargon-reliant information about Internet marketing available on the Net?
Often it results in many companies becoming confused and therefore reluctant to put
into practice what would be a valuable and simple business resource when understood
and applied correctly.
Market Research consultant for Inteltab, Gordon Goodfellow, who is also an English
literature graduate, decided it was time for a change. Part of this desire to make
Internet marketing more accessible may be due to his past experience as a teacher.
"I was sick of all the gobbledegook that surrounds the Internet, even today," he
explains. "Marketing on the Net isn’t rocket science and should not be presented as such.
Everyone should have access to it. That’s the beauty of it."
Having spent four years researching and assessing the best way of getting an effective message across on the Internet, he began to design a basic introduction to Internet marketing. The result of this hard work is Applied Web Marketing. AWM is a comprehensive beginner’s guide to marketing on the Internet, covering everything from
domain names to e-commerce and merchant accounts, and written in plain English. This is designed for the small business user and the home business user who does not want to spend a fortune on outside "experts".
The key to most of Internet marketing is search engine optimisation. The key to good
search engine optimisation is keyword research. In other words, knowing which keywords or search terms people are using to find what they’re looking for on the Internet. If keyword research is done properly then there is no doubt that you will get highly targeted visitors to your website. This is obviously the professional way of going about things. It is the antithesis to the "spam" approach (unsolicited commercial emails) which achieves extremely poor results and simply annoys anyone unfortunate enough to be on the receiving end.
But which search engine should you optimise for? The search engine of choice at the
moment is Google. There are two good reasons for this. Firstly, Google is the most popular search engine on the Internet today. It is known for the quality and relevance of its search results, and so people trust it. Secondly, over the last couple of years Google has joined alliances with other search engines and directories. Yahoo, the world’s most popular directory, uses Google’s database, so if you have a first page listing on Google you are likely to have a first page listing on Yahoo as well.
AOL and Netscape also share Google’s search findings, so you’ll have similar search
results on the AOL and Netscape databases. Other lesser databases also rely on Google,
so that if you are well represented on Google, then you’ll be well represented on over sixty per cent of Internet search facilities.
You should also obtain a listing on the Open Directory Project (DMOZ.org) which is not much known about but very well respected in the search engine optimisation industry. The Open Directory does not use the normal search engine "spiders" or robot searchers; instead it uses over thirty thousand volunteer human editors who are ostensibly experts in their own fields. The theory behind this is that it ensures relevancy, accuracy and quality of all listings. A listing in DMOZ will therefore ensure a listing on Google and probably earn you an enhanced ranking there. Then all the others, like Yahoo, AOL, Netscape and the rest are bound to follow.
Optimisation is everything. The Applied Web Marketing website itself has the number
one position on Google out of 1.47 million search results for the search term "applied
web marketing".
After optimisation is the submission process. Perceived wisdom of the moment says it is best to submit manually. Manual submissions to dozens of search engines and
directories can be very time-consuming, however. There are some good automated and
semi-automated software packages available out there to do the submissions for you.
But for the major players do find the time for manual submissions. Some search
engines, for example Alta Vista, make it impossible for automated submission by
software programs, because of individualised text codes that must be entered by hand at the start of the submission process, so you have to submit to Alta Vista manually as well. But that just takes about three minutes.
Don’t bother with ads that say that they can "blast your web site to 500,000 search
engines". There aren’t that many search engines; there’s only a few hundred in total, and only about a dozen of any major importance. You’ll just pay your money and be very disappointed. Most of these so-called search engines are link farms, FFA or free-for-all sites, which nobody every looks at, and which are responsible chiefly for sending out spam. If you link to such web sites you risk being penalised by the bona fide search engines.
The next thing to have lots of is patience. A listing on Google should probably appear
within a couple of weeks if you have optimised your pages properly (incidentally, if you have multiple pages on your web site, as is mostly the case, it is important only to submit the index or home page, and let Google’s spider "Googlebot" to find and index the other pages itself using the links that you should have set up on your site.
The Applied Web Marketing guide has useful links to many resources, lots of them completely free, and to the submission pages of the major search engines and
directories, making it a perfect site to begin your journey into the world of Internet marketing.
